excellent. is it gonna be ready for chrimbo
Well we have the foam, and the shells are ready tomorrow?
So 99% YES
I saw your experimental Bling covers for coupling two Fat Airics in July at Brotherswater. Does the Bling Phud mean that the Bling Airic covers will be a reality soon? Please say yes, I covet one so badly.....decandence in a tent if ever I saw it :o)
They look fab, any chance of a truly bling gold top?
Just got my woomf. Going to Ilkley now to go and play!!!
Excellent service looks cool, can’t wait to play
Thanks
I like the concept of a more compact design. Don’t like the animal fur and heavy branding though.
Something that I’ll like to get hold of is a mat that can be carried on long approaches, with a backpack, so maybe a 3-fold, look into cutting the foam 45 degrees to eliminate a crack. But overall great job on the development you’re doing!
I’ve just received an ‘ard woomf (lightening fast delivery) and its perfect for the dartmoor bouldering/gnarly starts to routes I do. The backpack system is great, but to prevent the tendancy for the mat to creep closed slightly could be solved by attaching a little bungee between the closure buckles (one on each side)across the underside. I suppose turning the foam over occasionally would also be beneficial.
Thanks for the comments Will, however I am not entirely sure what you mean. Maybe you could give us a call or drop us an email explaining your comment further.
Thanks,
Jim.
Not had much chance to play with my Ard Woomf, weather & daylight hours being as they are this time of year, but…
Built quality feels solid, particularly the Cordura outer, as you would expect. I like the fact the shoulder straps are not fixed - seems to make it easier to put on without having to loosen then tight two individual straps.
I also like the fact that the mat is held close with velcro through loops rather than those damned plastic clips which are easily broken (especially when placed on a rock and jumped on from a great height!), BUT would have liked maybe a greater length of velcro to make it easier to whack bits inside the mat when carrying it (you can force it shut, but not sure if this is bad for the mat, being deformed for a period of time).
In use, the size seems perfect for the sort of use I’m giving it (mainly to protect your ankles and backside from rocky landings on beach boulders rather than to stop you breaking a leg coming off a highball), but it feels like you could take a reasonable drop onto it if your aim is good.
Will let you know anything else I can think of when I’ve had a chance to give it a bit more use.
My PHUD fits fine in the back of my Focus Estate!
