I bought a Padded Cell 3 to keep my Trangia spirit burner in. On cold mornings it can be difficult to light so i’m hoping the extra insulation from the 3 will help. I would even be happy to chuck it in to the foot end of my sleeping bag now it’s better protected to keep it really warm overnight.

I’ve used the Padded cell 4 recently while winter camping and found it great for storing 3 small Primus power gas canisters. It also helps keeps the canisters warm. Its an ideal little bit of kit!!

What service- an object lesson in customer services! Returned a Rig 7 tarp with unexplained tears and within a couple of days it had been repaired and returned with the offer of a replacement when new stock arrives. Apart from it being the best designed Tarp out there- Yep, TRAIL got this one right- it is really fantastic to know that the follow up service is there. Well done Alpkit….now let’s see what else do I need?

Clippers. Great quality, made me realise I have been putting up with rubbish clips all this time.
Vortex mesh bags. Again such quality in a simple product. I love these bags for organising my gear, with colour coded grab handles these make packing or just dealing with stuff simpler.

Bulb II - Wonderful! So dinky, bright, versatile and good looking. A little design masterpiece. If it lives up to the predicted life of the batteries, I’ll be amazed - but you’ve never given me a reason to doubt you, Alpkit. (Now I can throw away the old camp light that that used to burn it’s way through 4 D-size batteries in an evening).

What happened to the Titanium spike tent peg, can’t remember what you called them, they have stood up to some real beatings. I bought 1 set as a trial and came back for more to give me a full set for the tent

Purchased a Bulb II lantern and Tirons KFS set. 

Both products really well engineered and constructed.  Looking forward to using them for real next weekend.

Just as pleased with these items as with all the other Alpkit stuff I have bought in the past.
