I had to spend 30odd quid on a non alpkit titanium mug because i had already waited months for Alpkit to make some more before being told in a phone enquiry there was no sign of an end to the waiting, its not fair!

Yeah, I tried that, but the edge of the lid cut through the elastic. Gave the mug away a week ago :0(

My solution to the loose lid was to make a loop of elastic that stretches tightly round the mug from top to bottom then cut a slit in the elastic and poke the knob though to hold it tight(ish)

I like to stuff a brew kit in, and use it as a one pot solution whem put on expedition. It has cut its way out of a stuff sac, and through bungees trying to hold the lid on.So I guess I am trying to use it as storage container, pan and mug. I really hope you can sort it, as I like alp kits attitude.
Thanks Rich

Hi Rich, we have a pretty cheeky idea for a new lid design but it is taking a while to get right. Your problem is when it is in your sack or when your noodles are bubbling over?

Another item that has been left at the back of the shed due to it really annoying lid. I’ve tried various methods to try and keep it in place, but failed. A real shame as it fits my optimus crux + gas canister perfectly. Sadly I wish I’d shelled out the extra for the MSR one.
Sorry

Hi
Just want to say I have one of these mugs a year now and I love it. The wooden nob gets a few laughs but I like it so don’t change it. A cosy would be a great idea with it as hot drinks can cool down a bit quick and maybe a mini stove of some sort as package?

just about sits on my msr dragon fly but survives the full blast of this stove no problem great for a quick wee boil and a mug of tea/soup, what ever the rest off my mountain leader course were very envious of this might mug. Made a cosy for it out of a thin mouse mat / may be a good extra fot alkit to look at.

Still love it, except why use love Ti then use a scabby steel screw to hold the lid handle on.  Traces of rust make a great product look cheap.
