used this in the lakes, very warm, the first stuff sack buckles came unstitched, sent it back and the second one did the same.
the neck cord also came loose out of my wifes bag, this was sent back and replaced quickly.
great sleeping bags, but the small quality problems let it down

Pronto delivey, really liking the AD700 bag its great in terms of quality but I’ve not yet had an outdoor test. The compression sac is not liked as much - the buckles look very suspect when pulled right in. A British Army jungle sleeping bag size compression sac works as a great alternative and yes AD700 does fit smile if this style of compression sac was supplied this bag is even more of an absolute steal!!!

Seriously impressed by my AD700. Great quality at a great price. Your delivery time puts every other online site Ive bought from to shame. Most couriers think N. Ireland is at the end of the earth, just on the left past the Pillars of Hercules.
(Im a grumpy old git or so my friends tell me, so its rare for me to admit to being impressed let alone taking the time to write about it in tiny litle boxes!)
Cheers

Unlike other brands, the extra charge is not being discriminatory, there is just more fabric and we get charged more to make it. The smalls are cheaper because there is less fabric. wink Jim.

Ordered an AD700 Long Monday, arrived Tuesday - bog standard fab Alpkit service.

Had a play with it last night at home. Lasted about 30 seconds before I overheated! Am looking forward to taking it for a spin in the Pangi Valley in September.

P.S. My lawyers reckon I have a case under human rights legislation re: the extra charge for the Long model. You can’t discriminate against us lanky types.

The Summons is in the post!! grin

Used my Alpine Dream 900 3 weeks in Nepal. -20c temp at Mera high camp(5800m). Had no problems. Other people had ME snowline’s and were cold. They should of saved themselves 200 quid and beenm warm. Get one!!!

On recommendation from a freind,I ordered myself an Alpine Dream 500 on Wednesday, it arrived Thursday morning. I used it on a wild camp on Scafell summit on Sunday night in horrible weather. I decided to wear my spare trousers and soft shell to be sure of staying warm, within 10 minutes I was roasting.
What a piece of kit! £85 is a bloody bargain!

Thanks for a top quality bag and great service,
Graeme Rumney (manchester).

Hey Nick, Chunk, Jim and Kenny
I just wanted to let you all know that I used this sleeping bag on Aconcagua in Feb.  Conditions turned terrible and we were in what was to be the worst weather all season.  The sleeping bag I had was superb and I had no difficulties.  I found myself waking up most mornings snuggled deep down inside it.  I read a lot of press before departing around false advertisements regarding temperature gradings for many companies.  No
worries with Alpkit though!!!

Just a recommendation… another pocket would be handy.  I kept my camera, mp3 etc in the current one and the space was very tight.  Even making the current one slightly bigger could be a suggestion.

I’ve used my AD700 in the Brecons and the Lake District in December and was plenty warm enough. Then in Snowdonia last month I had to open the zip to cool down. It’s very unusual for me to be warm enough - even at home I have blankets on the bed as well as my duvet! I bought the short version, and it fits perfectly. I’d definitely recommend it.
