Akdrenaline socks have just had an update thanks to a new knitting machine that allows us to achieve a finer knit. This means they feel softer and slightly lighter. The other change is purely cosmetic.. colours are now Grey/Orange and Blue/Grey.
I hate to be a pycophant about a company or a product, but in this case I have to heap praise on both.
After years of buying Sock guy socks only to tear a hole in them after about a months use I was looking for an alternative. I have never really been a fan of socks that come up over your ankle for anything but office attire. So I bought the two pairs of AKdrenalines for the same price as a single pair of Sock Guy or Dfeets. The foot specific fit is fantastic and the padded parts make a real difference to the harsh rigidity of a cycling shoe. All round a bargain and a top product. Add to that fast delivery and a hand written note.
Hey, just tried the Akdrenalines for hiking - they go really well with Inov8 shoes where the Trekker would just look so, well, Rambler…
Great product!

I got my socks a week or two ago and have worn them for my daily commute and a couple of weekend warrior riding trips. Brilliant - nice and comfy, padded in all the right places and everyone in the office has commented on the L & R markings…
Well done Alpkit for another great product!
They arrived today - looking really great for cycling/fell running. They’re a little more heavily padded than I expected (just like a very short version of the Trekker) - but that is fine and should translate to nice and toasty in the cooler months
I will be grabbing some more!
Next stop a cooler summer version of the Trekkers please!

Very pleased with my purchase, padded socks are a must on long mtb treks and 2 pairs for £10 are excellent value. Impressed with speed of delivery,Kudos to Alpkit. Please will you make a pair of winter socks to suit mtb boots that stop my toes from going numb
