PipeDream Nightmares!

When we launched the PipeDream series of sleeping bags a number of years ago we were one of only a handful of companies using super low denier, super low weight technical outdoor fabrics. Over the years more and more companies have spec'd these fabrics on everything from gloves to rucksacks dramatically increasing the lead times from suppliers. This shouldn't really be a problem for us but the recent surge in popularity of the PipeDream Sleeping Bags caught us by surprise.

In the past we have been able to order new stock whilst the existing stock has been selling from the shelves. The surge has meant as quickly as we get a new batch in, we already have a waiting list of people ready to snap them up, leaving us with very little open stock. We are trying to catch up with this but it is a balancing act to finance, e.g. we cannot commit to buying too many as this will affect purchases of other products. In reality it is going to take us until nearly 2012 where we can confidently say we should be able to maintain a steady supply chain of PipeDreams.

We do have some orders placed for delivery in 2011 but due to crazy fabric lead times we cannot currently give an accurate date as to when these will be ready. As we find out we will update the stock notification & PipeDream shop pages accordingly.
