After having to peel soaking wet fivers apart after a backpack I now put my purse into a sandwich bag, and my phone into another one. A small sac to fit those articles in would be very useful - it would also work for car keys. The expensive dry-sacs have twist-round knobbles to seal them and I would like to see one with a neater closure, maybe about A5 size.

My plastic bag story

I always transfer my mobile phone, wallet and keys to the top pocket of my rucksac when I leave the car. If its wet weather I usually put the wallet and the phone in a plastic bag first. I dont put my keys in the bag because I like to attach them to the clip on the inside of the pocket so I dont lose them. This is a worry because the key is one of those infra-red central locking ones, and I dont reckon it is very waterproof. I have looked at various waterproof bags on the market but they are all too expensive. Its crazy to think they are competeing with the plastic self seal sandwich bag, but still charge over £5 for something only slightly more advanced.

I’m also looking for a semi-waterproof wallet I can use for weekend/holidays.

I echo Micheal Salmon’s point - Roll seal waterproofing, and air valve for compression. Like those WX bags.
Also different colours and more importantly different surface feel so you can identify bags in the dark.
Material should be like the lighter Exped bags as opposed to the Ortileb ones.

Just started looking for containers for kit for winter climbing, skiing, and summer climbing (This is when things really need to be waterproof.) maybe even caving.
Need a flat waterproof bag to hold passports, visas, cash, driving license etc.
Cylindrical waterproof containers with max width neck in various sizes from half to 5 litres to hold fluids, dry food, bulky/sharp items (car keys, first aid kits, knives, etc.)
This range would have an appeal to more than just climbers. I wish I had time and money and I would have done this myself as the market is short of these things. The stuff crrently available is either; Not very waterproof. Too fragile. Too expensive. Too much designed as a fashion accessory.
Good luck with your venture. I will see you at Nottingham Boulding League. John Cook

Multiple colours and sizes to allow easuyidentification and some means of compressing the air out of the bag would be nice.  Taped seams and waterproof closure are esential in my opinion.

I do also wonder if it would be useful to be more rectangular/oval in profile rather than round as this would be easier to fit into a pack and many of the things I carry would fit in better.  Thinking about it, very few things I have with a defined shape are equally sized in all directions.

Roll seal openings for waterproofness please.  Also, how about a one way valve so you can squeeze out the air to help reduce the pack size.

Colours and sizes. Please make them different colours. I know they are transparent, but it’s much easier to say “My head torch is in the green bag in my sack” than “My head torch is in on of the many bags in my sack, please get them all out and squeeze them about to see which one it’s in”. Also, noone makes these things big enough. I don’t just organise passports and little stuff I want one for baselayers, one for gloves and hats, one for washkit, one for emergeny rations, one for dirty socks etc. I even sort food into them, which saves having a dozen nalgene bottles of sugar, milk powder, etc. collecting at the bottom of your sack.
