Just received my jeans in the post (<24 hours after ordering) and very pleased with the fit and quality. Office was impressed when I emptied my water bottle onto them and it just beaded up. Have you thought about marketing these to farmers? A colleague seemed to thing they would be just the job for her farmer dad…

I appreciate wee touches like the denim reinforcement at the top inside edge of the front pockets - my jeans always seem to go here first. Fit is great - nice and roomy for my cyclist thighs and a quick walk in the rain at lunch time confirms that they shed rain nicely and aren’t sweaty as a sweaty thing.

Nice job chaps. Will report back after traipsing round South America for 3 months and schlepping through a no doubt soggy Scottish winter.

It’s women who need practical clothing. Have you any idea how few wearable garments there are out there for girls? Very very few. Especially trousers. For starters there will be 3 or 4 styles of action trousers for men per manufacturer and maybe 1 for women. The mens come in a variety of leg lengths, womens only in one length - short. Most of the womens styles are based on a very curvaceous figure which is not really the norm for your average climber/ outdoor enthusiast. So all that’s on offer for women are; small waisted, large bummed and thigh, short legged pants invarably in black… And you think there isn’t a market for trendy stretchy practical jeans for girls…. Are you serious???

Mine have arrived this morning - 34/34 fit just like my regular jeans

Bath test seems to confirm water beading is great

look forward to some showers later to test them properly

Marvellous. Mine turned up this morning, and have already been subjected to a quick ride through The Fens by motorcycle in a shower and my legs stayed perfectly dry, comfy and cosy. Very good indeed. Thanks.

Does anyone know how generous in the upper leg these beasties are? I’ve got thunderthighs from powerlifting and most ‘easy fit’ jeans are a little on the tight side for my not so dainty pins. Also, how breathable are people finding them?

Cheers!

Got mine today.
First impressions are that they are great and fit really well.
One suggestion is that the pockets could be deeper.
I have a wallet and phone in my left pocket and they are quite close to the top.
Other than that a great product, will post again once I have abused them a bit.
Cheers

Hi Alpkit.
Firstly first. I signed up to the Co-lab but was some how unable to get the discount! Can this be fixed?

So, Jeaius arrived this morning and as I’m currently a resident, my ‘Old Dear’ graciously signed for them and even struggled with “new fangled technology” to give me a text to let me know.
I ran home eagerly (via bus) to see them, immediately pouring a glass of water over them the second they were unwrapped! “Look at that mam!!” I cried as the water beaded up and rolled along the fabric. I have to try them on right now I think, running up the stairs, pulling off my shoes and in my haste falling over my crash pad! (I need to work out where that’s gonna live…)
A carpet burn to my elbow later, and I’m posing in front of the ‘big’ mirror. They look really cool but I wish they came in a 33inch waist with a 31inch leg. No matter, I’m on friendly terms with the alteration ladies!
Not had a chance to go ‘out, out’ yet, but it’s raining cats an frogs so I reaches for the Gtx-proshell put up my hood and braves the back yard!
Half an hour later…. My legs ache. I’ve been doing that thing they do at football training. The one where they run, stop and run back again. I fear my ‘Old Dears’ neighbours think I’m a loon. But apart from my feet (Dunlop green-flash) I’m not even a little bit damp. In fact. I’m very impressed and very dry!
The horrid wet stuff practically bounced off me legs, and what didn’t bounce met other bits, they got bigger and gravity did its thing!
All in all. Very chuffed, they should deffo make it from the crag to the car in a downpour without giving an uncomfortable drive/ride home/pub!

Looks like a great product for many different uses. Have you considered doing 3/4 or short versions for climbers who maybe prefer them? How do you go about getting this £20 off aswell?

Yup, I’m anti-buttons, I far prefer the security of a decent zip.

Just received mine. Loving them already and I haven’t even been outside (though they have been in the sink!)I look forward to abusing them on site and seeing how they cope with a bit of ingrained dirt…

Will be mentioning them to a few mates…

Gotta love the alpkit. :D
