We are pleased to introduce our first CoLAB development product, the Filium Smock. An extremely simple no nonsense smock made from goosedown recycled from unsold & returned ‘Filo Runts’. This is currently a limited edition piece selling at the special CoLAB price of £40.

Sizing
Size measurements vary across Europe which is why the chart below shows the actual measurements of our jackets. We believe this is useful since you can compare Filium directly with your existing jacket or personal layering system. Traditional British chest measurement are also given as a rough guide.

lovely jacket for the price, but the arms could be a bit longer. maybe ‘outdoor’ types have funny monkey arms.
maybe you could start a trend of selling thing in chest size and arm length!
Arrived today - first impressions well made, light, warm jacket - interesting pocket/cooling arrangement have to see how it works in use. Shame there is no stuff sack but I managed to utilize a Exped XS waterproof rolltop bag instead. Otherwise it appears ideal for my purpose which is summer alpine/wildcamp use
Pronto delivery! Very warm jacket with good loft for the down. I think that a better length would be the best thing to change. Small details such as full velcro around the sleeves to stop the cuff tab from popping off, lining around the neck and the inner pocket to be a bit more secure (zip/velcro?) and elasticated pulleys to be on both side to stop the jacket getting pulled to one side don’t affect the jacket too much, but if they were added...WOW!!!
Mine arrived today less than 24 hours after I placed the order and I got an email to tell me it was on its way - great delivery service.
I agree with others here than an extra inch in length all round would be ideal - the large size, while fitting elsewhere, feels a little short and I am average height.
Echo worries about the quality of the inner hand warmer. Already I notice the stiching on the internal pocket is coming loose! Some velcro or even a zip would be good to convert it to a secure stash pocket.
Very light, good loft, feels very warm in arctic London in late May! Will post more once I’ve had chance to test it on camping trips.

First impressions of the jacket are good!
It is light weight, the down lofts well, and the colour is good too!
I like the simplicity of the over-the-head design.
Quality of construction looks to be excellent - but I guess time will tell on that!
My feedback - an extra inch all round in length would have made it perfect - although the short cut front will make it good for using with a harness on those freezing belay ledges! Width is spot on!
A fleece lining to the collar would be a nice as well as practical touch, collars tend to get grubby (or is it just me?) and a fleece lining would be easy to give a bit of a clean up to - without having to clean the whole jacket.
As it has a secondary wee pocket inside the hand warming pouch - a zip or velcro closure for the little pocket would give you somewhere secure to stash your car keys etc.
Other than those comments - everything else seems just fine.
One thing I can’t fault (as usual) is the price!

Awesome value, awesome product.....I even love the colour. Can’t wait to really use it when I go to Everest Base Camp in Feb 08. I’m really impressed with the Filium, size was perfect...and the other products I bought were equally excellent quality. Would be good to see more products, ie trousers/shorts/footwear/caps etc.

Feels great, currently have two and trying to decide which fits best, I think if you shift the back lengths and sleeve length down a size (so each size becomes a tad longer) the fit would be dialed.
Got to agree with Sarah, full of praise for the product at a great price. Good fit etc just missing the zipper tags and dedicated stuff sac
Delivery was excellent on the jkt, received into a couple of days after order.
Taking it to the Lakes this weekend to give it a good going over, hopefully an early morning solo hike will allow me to see if it performs as well as I hope. I’ve matched it to a small waterproof roll top bag to allow for compression and protection in my ‘Sac.
The fit and feel is initially good, though I’ll have to check the durability of the handwarmer divider material.
The collar fits well, and the jacket seems to feel snug enough, but allowing good movement.
