The Alpkit academy

We set up the Alpkit academy back in 2004 to support 3 local young, strong, active and ambitious climbers.

They impressed us with their dedication and sense of adventure, and we aimed to be an active and productive element in their development. At the same time we worked with the Nottingham Climbing Centre to ensure excellent training facilities in a friendly environment.

The project has turned out to be a success, we are all a little older, we have made new friends and gained from new experiences. Both Ashleigh and Beth are climbing on the British team and Polly is still competing as stongly as ever in the BRYCS series.

The Alpkit academy supports certified rock huggers. This small site will keep you up to date with their progress with text, images and video. To tell the truth we are pretty damn chuffed to be hosting this site for them.
